Firms Compete For Toronto Highway Deal

News: Three groups led by Grupo ACS, Ferrovial and SNC-Lavalin are competing for a contract to build the second phase of the expansion of the 407 ETR highway in Toronto, Canada. The groups are required to submit their proposals in six months. The second phase of the highway expansion project involves the construction, financing and operation of 23km of the 407 ETR highway. The new stretch of road will connect Clarintong and Oshawa. Phase two of the project will be opened to the public in stages, with one part expected to start operating in 2017 and the remaining in 2020.
