FAS Proposes Developing SME To Improve Availability Of Medicines

News: The Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has sent a proposal to Russia's First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov to develop and promote competition among local small and medium enterprises (SME) to improve the availability of medicines in Russia, reports inpharm.ru. The FAS prepared the proposal after evaluating a report on the availability of medicines in the country. FAS Head Igor Artemyev stated that in the report the agency aimed to evaluate why medicines are expensive in the country. The preliminary conclusion of the report is that the government needs to promote pharmaceutical industry competition in the country, Artemyev added.
