News: Azteca Comunicaciones Colombia selected Swedish telecoms equipment provider Ericsson to deply the largest and most modern fibre-optic network across the country. The project is called the National Fibre-Optic Project. Fibre-optic network installation will be handled by Azteca Comunicaciones Colombia, while Ericsson will supply equipment. Jointly, both the firms will install a suite of products to deploy 4G IP network infrastructure and offer broadband services to more than 397 municipalities. The broadband services will be offered by using Wi-Fi and point-to-multipoint wireless access.
