Dunkin' Donuts Partners With OLH

News: US coffee and baked goods chain Dunkin' Donuts has partnered with OLH Group in a move to develop Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in Brasilia and Goias. Under the terms of the agreement, Dunkin' Donuts is to develop 65 restaurants in the Brasilia and Goias areas in the coming years. Dunkin' Donuts will also offer regional menu items to cater to local tastes.

BMI View: The food and beverage industry is well developed, and leading international operators have a strong presence. During the 1990s, the implementation of the Real Plan, the globalisation process and the creation of trade agreements forced the local industry to invest heavily in technology to maintain its competitive edge. This resulted in the production of high-value products and an increase in overall product quality. There are around 45,000 food-processing companies, including major multinationals. The sector is, however, composed mostly of small- and medium-sized companies.
