Dock Renovation Project At Tulsa Port Begins

News: A dock rehabilitation project worth US$12.3mn at the Tulsa Port of Catoosa in the US has started. The project will entail a new 150-ton mobile crane and a 40,000-square foot warehouse, along with a rail line. The project will also include a second crane that will enable the port to simultaneously unload two or three barges. The project is being funded by a 2012 grant from the US Department of Transportation and the port, through the City of Tulsa-Rogers County Port Authority. The project, which is likely to be completed in late-2015, will double the cargo handling capacity of the port, according to port director Bob Portiss (Tulsa World).
