BMW Divests Husqvarna

News: BMW has signed an agreement with Austrian firm Pierer Industrie for the sale of its Husqvarna motorcycle brand for an undisclosed amount. The divestment is part of its restructuring of the BMW Motorrad business, which will concentrate on urban mobility and e-mobility. The deal is pending approval from anti-trust authorities. Husqvarna registered a 15.7% increase in motorcycle sales to 10,751 units in 2012.
