BL Harbert To Build US Embassy

News: US-based construction company BL Harbert International has been contracted to build the US Embassy in N'djamena, Chad. The design and build contract for the facility, which would be the firm's 21st US diplomatic facility in Africa, was awarded by the US Department of State's Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations. Work on the 150,000 sq ft project involves construction of a chancery, two access pavilions, a warehouse with shops, a US Marine Corps residence, a utility building and recreational facilities. Moore Ruble Yudell Architects & Planners will act as the design architect, while Page of Arlington will be the architect of record.
