Bibiyana Gas Expansion Set For First Gas In Late 2014

News: US oil company Chevron will see production of first gas and condensate from Block 12, which comprises the Bibiyana field, in Bangladesh's Sylhet region in late 2014, according to a company filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The Bibiyana expansion project is currently producing 23,644.56mn cubic metres per day (Mcm/d) of gas and 3,424 barrels per day (b/d) of condensate, based on data from state-run Bangladesh Oil, Gas & Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla). With an incremental design capacity of 8,495.05Mcm/d of gas and 4,000b/d of condensate, the project will see installation of two gas processing trains, additional development wells and an enhanced liquids recovery facility.
