News: Canadian telecoms firm Bell Canada Enterprises (BCE) has registered a marginal fall of 0.5% y-o-y in revenues to CAD4.34bn (US$4.37bn) in Q212, ended June 30. However, the firm's earnings before interest, depreciation and amortisation rose by 3.7% y-o-y to CAD1.72bn (US$1.73bn) in Q212. The increase was attributed to strong performances in wireless and media. The operator's postpaid net activations reached 102,067 in the reported period, up by 8.2% y-o-y.
BCE is Canada's largest communications firm, providing a comprehensive range of communication services to residential and business customers in Canada. Under the Bell brand, the firm's services include local, long-distance and wireless phone services, high-speed and wireless internet access, IP-broadband services, information and communications technology services and direct-to-home satellite and VDSL television services.
