Bank Lending Grows 0.4% In February 2014

News: Total bank lending in Singapore grew 0.4% month-on-month to SGD584.5bn (US$464.1bn) in February 2014, compared with SGD582.2bn (US$462.27bn) in January 2014 according to data released by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. The rise was mainly driven by loans to manufacturing firms. On a yearly basis the bank lending grew 14.6% in February 2014. Loans and advances in Asian currency units rose to SGD496.3bn (US$394.07bn) in February 2014, compared with SGD488.4bn (US$387.8bn) in January 2014.
