Bangkok Hotel Occupancy Down 30.7% In Q114

News: The hotel industry in Bangkok, Thailand, registered a 30.7% fall in occupancy to 55.2% in Q114, according to data from STR Global. Revenue per available room declined 31.2% to THB1,778.42 (USD54.44) in the reported period, while the average daily rate dropped by 0.6% to THB3,221.60 (USD98.61). Elizabeth Winkle, managing director of STR Global, said, 'The hotel industry in Bangkok has taken a hit as a result of the political unrest,' reports Hotel News Resource.
