Auditor-General Warns Over Lapses In Public Funds Management

News: A report by the Singaporean Auditor-General's Office has found 10 ministries and 11 statutory boards showed lapses in managing public funds and resources. The report found lapses in a tender by the Ministry of Manpower and the National Parks Board's development projects. The Auditor-General urged improvement in internal controls, payment administration, contract management for work or services and approving officers' scrutiny. The report has also siad procurement officers should be aware of the principles of fairness, transparency, competition and value for money.
