ARPT Allows Ooredoo To Expand 3G Network

News: Algerian telecoms regulator Autorité de Régulation de la Poste et des Télécommunications (ARPT) has authorised mobile operator Ooredoo Algeria to launch commercial 3G services in nine additional provinces in the country. The operator can install its 3G network in provinces including Tipaza, Biskra, El Oued Sidi Bel Abbes, Blida, Tlemcen, Boumerdes, after satisfying its quality of service and coverage obligations in the mandatory provinces of Setif, Bejaia, Chlef, Algiers, Constantine, Ouargla, Oran, Ghardaia, Djelfa and Bouira. On December 3 2013, the regulator granted final 3G licences to three telecoms operators - Mobilis, Ooredoo Algeria and Djezzy.
