Aldaris Shifts Focus To Craft, Premium Beer

News: Latvian brewer Aldaris, a subsidiary of Denmark-based Carlsberg, plans to close its main domestic production facility in an effort to shift its focus towards craft and premium beer, reports Just Drinks, citing a Carlsberg spokesperson. Since 2009, Latvia's craft beer segment has grown by 50% and currently accounts for 14% of the total beer market. Production of Aldaris's mainstream beers and plastic bottles will be outsourced to other Carlsberg breweries in Europe, the spokesperson added.
