State Government Receives Appeal To Extend January 1 Deadline

News: The state government of Lagos in Nigeria has received an appeal from Lagos drivers for extending the January 1 st deadline over accreditation of commercial vehicles in the state, reports Nigerian Tribune. These drivers are part of the National Union of Road Transport Workers. The state government had passed an order in October 2013 regarding compulsory accreditation and registration of all commercial vehicles, drivers and vehicle owners. The objective is to develop and maintain a transport data base for the state for security purpose.
