News: Luxembourg-based technology company Skype's users have grown to 31mn since it was launched in 2003 and worldwide Skype usage is now more than one-third of all international phone traffic, reports Comms Business. US-based IT company Brocade's Director Systems Engineering, WEST EMEA, Simon Pamlin, says Skype introduced a revolution in how we use technology to connect and communicate and believes its popularity is due to its simplicity and because it is free. Skype has also widely been adopted by corporations, which suggests companies need to prepare their IT networks to deal with similar technological revolutions in future.
