Inventec And Quanta Win Apple Watch Orders

News: Taiwan-based electronics companies Inventec and Quanta reportedly received orders from US-based technology company Apple's iWatch, reports ZDNet. Malaysia-based CIMB Securities believes Apple is likely to launch the iWatch in 2014 and expects 63.4mn units of iWatch to be shipped in the year after its launch at an average price of US$199. Investec and Quanta, which already make products for Apple, are expected to split the iWatch order, with allocations of 60% and 40% respectively. The iWatch order is estimated to contribute 19% of Inventec's earnings in 2014, but neither Inventec nor Quanta have made any comment about the iWatch.
