Government To Invite Companies' Participation In Rail Project

News: The Egyptian government is to invite private sector entities to participate in a high-speed rail project in 2013 after feasibility studies end in the coming 6-12 months, reports Zawya, according to Transportation Minister Mohamed Rashad. The project is estimated to be more than EGP100bn (US$16.4bn) and its implementation is expected to start in H213 under several phases that will take 4-5 years to conclude. The rail line will connect the cities of Alexandria, Cairo, Aswan and Hurghada.
