Government Promises Gas Exports For Power By Early 2014

News: The Iranian Oil Ministry has promised to supply 25mn cubic metres (Mcm) of gas a day to three power stations in Iraq by early 2014, reports Zawya. The ministry plans to start supplying gas to the Mansuriyya, Sader and Jerusalem power stations after the completion of construction work on the Iraqi side of a pipeline that will carry the fuel from Iran to Iraq. The Iraqi electricity ministry announced in 2012 that it had entered into an agreement with Iran to import more than 1Mcm of gas a day to feed four productive stations.
