Bharti Airtel Hires Ex-MTN Executive To Head African Unit

News: India-based telecoms company Bharti Airtel has hired a former executive of rival telecoms company MTN to head its poor performing business unit in Africa, reports Total Tele. The company confirmed that Christian de Faria will join Bharti on September 16 2013 and take over as the chief executive of its African operations on January 1 2014. Bharti Airtel said the new chief executive will report to Major Kohli, who is the chief executive for international operations and heads the African business of Bharti.
