Base Resources Exports First Minerals From Kwale Project

News: Australia-based Base Resources started its first shipment from the Kwale mineral sands project in Kenya in the week ended February 15 2014. The company started the shipment following an export approval by the Kenyan government. The consignment comprising 340,000 metric tonnes (mt) of Ilmenite, 30,000mt of Zircon and 80,000mt of rutile products, was loaded at the company's port facilities at Likoni mainland jetty in Mombasa. The company plans to export more than 450,000mt of titanium minerals annually from the project.
