Škoda’s Sales Up 7.5% In October
News: The Czech subsidiary of German automaker Volkswagen (VW) Škoda posted a 7.5% year-on-year (y-o-y) increase in global sales to a record 83,800 vehicles in October, compared with 78,000 vehicles in October 2012. Škoda sold 768,700 vehicles worldwide from January to October. The company's sales in Europe climbed 13.7% to 55,700 units in October, while sales in Germany expanded 23.5% to more than 12,100 vehicles. Škoda introduced eight new and revised Škoda models in 2013, with sales of the new Octavia in Western Europe growing 48.8% y-o-y in October.
